Hey, there a explorer alternative called winxshell
its looks like windows 7 and with classic shell its looks better, here a example

with this replacing explorer i can make the windows much responsive
do u guys want to test it on xpedition ?

some of the settings might be harder to access cos the settings of metro is disabled

its just preview to how SystemCore gonna be, its not final form
in the future i gonna put more work on it
but its kinda more responsive  then normal liting

I used WinXshell to replace explorer that make too many handles open, make it load all the unneeded DLLs

Classic Shell installed also, make it like windows 7, low footprint explorer with the right menu

Footprint: 6GB

BTW the "old" explorer can can be run just execting it from run with "explorer.exe"

Editions:

Normal - is removing most of the features that is unneed for desktop users
such as: Metro apps and more [check tweaks and removal page]

XPedition - is like Normal with push to better responsive performance
its always in research mode, always tweaks will added more services tweaks
and remove extra features that can be for small group needed

SystemCore - gonna be a very lited windows, to the BONE!
all the features that come with windows will be removed like:
Windows Search,Windows Update Powershell etc
very basic features that use broadly will be removed
similar to Linux that only come with basic apps like notepad, browser
same concept

RAMOS - based on WindowsPE, small as 200mb, load to ram and discard change when rebooting

USB-OS - same as ram but without the discarding changes, after restart changes will apply
